WELCOME TO THE CHILDREN'S INITIATIVE

MISSION STATEMENT
The Children's Initiative is dedicated to helping children in Southeast Asia and Africa. TCI matches its resources with the very best human capital at the local level to improve the health and education of children in resource-poor communities. The Children's Initiative offers hope and opportunity to children in need, enabling them to reach their potential and enhance the quality of their lives, their families, and their villages.

WHAT WE DO
The Children's Initiative focuses on small orphanages and villages whose children suffer from disease and deficiencies of the most basic nature. By identifying and supporting individuals and groups with proven records of excellence, TCI serves as the catalyst and funding source in making needed programs possible. Our long-term goal is to assist each village or orphanage in providing a continuum of care for its children. To accomplish this, The Children's Initiative concentrates on three types of pursuits that generate sustainable results, significantly enhancing the prospects for the children: Projects, Programs and Plans

OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES AND PLANS
TCI is distinct from other service organizations in our determination and capacity to work through the most competent and committed people in small communities to help realize their aspirations for children. All our endeavors originate from and are embraced by the local villagers and the people directly providing care. As appropriate, we "partner" with NGO's or government agencies to accelerate projects and to benefit from costs and logistics due to their involvement. We are dedicated to ensuring that funds are well spent, that all services, products, and programs are effectively delivered to those in need, and that accountability prevails at all levels. Our approach to helping children is holistic, addressing their needs of mind, body, and spirit.
