Every three seconds, a child dies in poverty
WELCOME TO THE CHILDREN'S INITIATIVE

MISSION STATEMENT
The Children's Initiative is dedicated to transforming the health and education of children in resource-poor communities in Southeast Asia, Africa, and Central America. TCI collaborates with the best local human capital to provide a continuum of care for their children. The Children's Initiative offers hope and opportunity to children in need, enabling them to reach their potential and enhancing the quality of life for their families and their villages.

WHAT WE DO
The Children's Initiative concentrates where we can make the greatest difference for children suffering from malnutrition, disease, limited educational opportunities, and deficiencies of the most basic nature. By supporting individuals and groups with proven records of excellence, TCI serves as the catalyst for needed PROJECTS, PROGRAMS & PLANS that generate sustainable results for the benefit children.

OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES AND PLANS

Our approach to helping children is holistic, addressing the needs of mind, body, and spirit:

  • TCI is distinct from other service organizations in our determination to work through the most competent and committed local villagers to help realize their aspirations for children.
  • All initiatives originate from and are implemented by local people, made possible by TCI's funding and guidance.
  • We recognize that dreams cannot flourish in a vacuum, and so in addition to education, our efforts encompass the necessities of clean water, nutritional diets, a safe environment, and basic medical care.
  • Whereas we remain steadfastly independent from any political or religious agendas, we selectively "partner" with other groups to accelerate projects, facilitate programs, and address community needs.
  • We are dedicated to ensuring that funds are judiciously spent, that all services, products, and programs are effectively delivered, and that accountability prevails at all levels.
  • All funds raised go directly to helping children, with nothing lost to administrative or overhead costs, which are funded entirely by the Co-Founders.
